Anyone know any anti-bark solutions?
I have a little ten pound daschund, and I’m wondering what would be the best thing to buy to stop her noisy barking. Has anyone bought a small-dog static collar? Or maybe a sound-device that scares the dog with high pitches? I’m lost as to WHAT to get and also what brand, and how much money is too much or too little.
Can anyone recommend any product? Or share with me some reviews of their own experiences with anti-bark products? Thanks in advance.

I have an 11 pound toy poodle who had a barking problem also. I bought a bark collar online. try this link – http://www.petstreetmall.com/No-Bark-Collars/2521/526/
It will also get you where you can look at some different models.
When you get one, try it with your dog when you are home, if he/she is usually barking when you leave, walk outside and leave them inside to see how they react to the collar. Don’t just put it on and leave the dog alone for your first day. I hope this helps, the collar worked immensely with my dog. My next step, if it didn’t work was to get a collar that sprays citronella when she barks. Good luck!

How much exercise is the dog getting? Are you taking it to run a couple times a day? Letting it out in the yard does not mean it’s getting enough exercise. Take her to a dog park daily or nearly daily as well, if there’s one in your area. A tired dog is a quiet dog.
And train it not to bark. Obedience classes might help there.

Citronella collars work well
Alot of pet stores hire them out here in australia, after a couple of weeks problem is normallly resolved.

i agree with a lot of exercise usually calms down those bad behaviours. A tired dog is a well behave dog. But if you buy a squirt bottle and squirt her in the face, sometimes that stops the barking. You have to be consistent and only use one bottle. You dont want her to be afraid of everything you put in your hand. It’s the cheapest way to start. Never use a hose, they will be afraid of water forever. I’ve also heard of filling a soda pop can with pennies. When the dog starts barking, shake the can really hard. The loud noise distracts them from the barking at which point you can initiate a command, such as, "NO BARKING". Or at which point you can distract the dog into something else such as playing, whatever takes away from the object that is making her bark. Good luck.
I would only use a shock collar as a last resort. If neighbors are complaining and the police are going to fine you or something of that nature.

Teach it TO bark… then when it understands THAT command.. then you can teach it the NOT bark command. Make sense? Give it treats when you tell it to NOT bark.
