Do anti bark collars work or not?
I want to stop a neighbours dog barking as its a bloody nuisance and I’m thinking of getting one of those devices which send out a sound only heard by dogs which is supposed to prevent the dog from barking on and on. Can anyone tell me if they have had success with one of these or not ? Thanks.
Yes, I have asked them to control the dog but they refused. Its not a normal sort of situation, believe me. The dog is not any particular breed. He is a four year old medium sized dog confined to a very small yard. Never seen anyone exercise him. He barks at any sound or nothing in particular. If its cold or wet he will yelp. Once about every two seconds or so and this could last for up to two hours sometimes. It makes life difficult for everyone.

mmm im not really sure! We got my dog a shock collar for an invisible fence and he ran straight through it!! The dog probably barks cuz its bored or restless!! Poor you, poor dog! Its not a win win situation!
Invest in good earplugs?
Offer to dog sit?
Maybe if worse comes to worse you could contact authorities? But then you and your neighber wouldnt get along too wel…
I think that you should invest in a dog collar. Either borrow one from a friend to test it out, ask the owner to buy one, or go ahead and buy the darn thing then if it doesnt work, sell it on Ebay!
I feel bad for both you and the dog!!
Good Luck!
Btw thank you for your comment on my question! You are very nice!
