Do you like anti barking collars are cruel?
I have a four mth old border collie and he barks very early in the morning. My hubby leaves for work at 3 AM and takes the dog for a walk and after he leaves the dog barks and it makes the neighbors crazy. Brining him in is not a option he runs around and gets into everything.
Not that you will check back but I just have to say at 3 am after my hubby goes to work the dog is in back yard. I never once said he was a outside dog. Sheesh does anyone even look at the questions before answering ???

I wouldnt get an anti barking collar, it does seem cruel. Dogs bark, the neighbors need to get over it.
You dont need to harm your dog for the happiness of your neighbors.

I think that anti barking collars shouldn’t even be made. You should treat a pet how you want to be treated.

anti-bark collars work fine if the dog knows why he’s getting corrected. there’s two different types: the type that shocks, and the type that sprays citronella. odds are, though, that it won’t help your dog. why do you have a dog if you keep him outside all the time? especially a border collie? they are high energy dogs, daily walks are not enough. the breed was bred for herding, it’s a working dog. that’s why he gets into everything in the house, he’s bored. he needs lots of play throughout the day. he probably barks because he’s mad he’s back in the yard after his walk. if possible, you should enroll him in agility or take him to a dog park where you can play fetch or let him just run around with the other dogs. he needs to burn off the extra energy.

Yes they are. I think it is a form of torture. Give the dog to a family that will love it for what it is….a dog. Dogs bark….. duh. If your not sure if its cruel….try the collar on yourself and you can make your own decision if its cruel or not. I know this might sound hard but you are useing pain to control a natural reaction. This is a bad idea. Give him away….he will be happy and not in pain everyday of his life.
