How do I stop my dog's ANNOYING barking ?!?
I have a pomeranian who barks at everything .
It’s the most annoying bark .
She hates people outside of our family , so she barks when they come over .
She barks when our dog outside barks .
She barks when she hears car horns and doorbells (even if they are on the tv)
and once she starts barking , she will not stop for anything .
It gets so frustrating .
I wanted to buy a shock collar .
But i feel they are kind of inhumane .
I don’t want her to hurt for doing something that’s in her nature to do .
Should i try the spray anti-bark collar ?
How can i get her to listen to me ?!
what kind of messed up person would give their dogs anti freeze ?!

Well, I did this for my dog. And it worked great.
Every time she barked I did a high pitch sound and she shut up to listen to it.
Sometimes I would just yell for her to be quiet.
If she was close I would hold her muzzle for a few sounds (gently!!)
The anti bark thing doesn’t work and shock collars….make her weary…I’d ask a personal trainer. They always have interesting tips.

No, collars are mean especially high settings, never do that do a dog unless you try the pain on yourself first and see it as not bad, but unless your a superhuman it is painful.
The barking was a fault on your part, you should of fixed it when it happened, but it already flared up so now you have to fix it when it’s worse. You also should have done research on the breed, toys are yappy, and if you don’t like that you should have gone with a different dog.
It’s not easy, if you want it to stop, it takes patience, time, effort, consistency, and research.
I suggest whenever she goes at it, have her fav treats, follow with the command quiet, and seize the opportunity to feed her when she is quiet, then she relates "quiet" to "shut your mouth and you get treat", eventually, if you are consistent, barking should cease. Basically, like answerer number one, you get a dogs attention away from barking, stimulate it with something else like treats or sounds.
The barking may be caused by boredom, if you dont take a dog out much or play with it much it’s gonna find a way to channel it’s energy and you can’t blame them really. Dog training is a great way to tire and use a dogs energy. Teaching her to sit rollover or beg or etc. new tricks, or just telling her to repeat commands in a "drill", like "sit, lie down, roll over, sit, lie down, rollover", I know a dog that can do that, its crazy stuff and pretty cool.

Shes a dog trainer, they might have the solution\
Also try dog whisperer, discovery I think.
Also try books as well, websites, anything, there is more than one way.
Hope it helps!

It’s normal. My Dachshund does it too. But he stops once he’s used to them. It’s either scared or trying to protect you. I would say muzzle but thats kind of mean, dont do shock collars. Put her in a different room or something.
